MEGAWHAT!? is an experimental circus event for the whole family by Hringleikur Circus Company and directed by Hallveig Kristín Eiríksdóttir, where the forces of nature are explored in the powerful location of Elliðaárstöð in a strange world of circus and science.

In MEGAWHAT?! the audience gets to know a group of eccentric residents of Elliðaárstöð power station who show them the magic that exists in the forces of nature. What have they been doing there? Can you spin for eternity? How does a hula hoop stay up in the air? Can you balance anything?

​In the form of a site-specific circus show and a participatory workshop we get to know these strange characters more closely and study the forces of nature with the circus objects that can be found there. Aerials, balancing, object manipulation and acrobatics mixed with original music flows around the exciting and family friendly area of Elliðaárstöð, and after the show the audience gets to play and research themselves with circus objects of different kinds.

MEGAWHAT!? premiered on August 26th, with shows in Elliðaárstöð in August and September 2023.
